Cherry Red Puffer

If you’re anything like me, most of the clothes in your closet are neutral tones. I mean, how can you go wrong with a classic black or crisp white? However, over the past few years, I have been trying to find accessories and pieces of clothing that add a bold pop of color to my look! This can really help to break up your outfit and add a fun twist to what otherwise may be more dull.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am obsessed with winter outerwear, so when I found this cherry red puffer, I knew it was the perfect statement piece to add to my coat collection. Throwing this coat on with a monochromatic black outfit adds such a chic, attention-grabbing touch that will have people dying to know where you picked up your jacket.

I styled this gorgeous puffer with black Quay aviators and a white, ribbed, faux fur, pom-pom beanie. I get total skiing in Aspen vibes from this look and I am living for it!

Faux Fur Moment

Okay fine, I’ll admit it…I have an unhealthy obsession with winter outerwear! There’s just something so elegant and sophisticated about throwing on a beautiful coat. Because I’ve been dressing more casually throughout the pandemic, reaching for fancier outerwear has been a super easy way to dress up my look while also keeping me warm. A few years ago, I invested in this leopard faux fur coat from a local boutique. To this day, it goes down as one of the best purchases I have ever made. It is so soft, timeless, and dreamy…but the best part is that it always elevates my look!

I recently styled this faux fur number with my favorite Top Shop beret and new rectangle sunglasses from Urban Outfitters! Adding just a few accessories to the coat made it appear as if I spent a long time styling the look, when it actually just took a few minutes! 

To make the look appear a bit more effortless, you can also nix the beret and just stick with the fun sunglasses! I am seriously in love with both looks. It has me dreaming of spending the holiday season in Paris.

Pandemic Fitness Favorites!

During the pandemic, we have all had to make the transition to at-home workouts! If you’re an avid gym-goer like me, this adjustment has been far from easy…but nonetheless we make it work. I have successfully transformed my dining room into my personal fitness studio. It has become my new “happy place” in the house!

Naturally, my workouts have changed quite a bit considering I don’t have full weight rack and a treadmill at home. I must admit that I was anxious at first knowing that I would be without some equipment that I always utilize at the gym; however, I have truly been having a great time trying new workouts and challenging myself in different ways. With the implementation of new workouts, the need for better (and more) at-home fitness equipment has come.

Below, I am rounding up some of the fitness equipment investments that I have made throughout the pandemic! These products have changed the quality of workouts that I am having in a drastic way. I am so excited to share these incredible finds with you!

Manduka ProLite Yoga Mat 


During this time, I have been taking lots of yoga, barre and pilates classes online…all of which require a yoga mat! I had a yoga mat previously, but it was cheap, thin and not great for my back and knees…not to mention that I was also slipping and sliding during workouts. I knew that I couldn’t go on like this, so I decided to invest in a Manduka yoga mat; a brand that is loved and trusted by yogi’s all over the world.

Now that I have been practicing on this mat for 3 months, I cannot imagine ever using another mat. Now that I have a Yoga Towel, I cannot imagine practicing without one! A yoga towel is a thin towel that you place over your yoga mat to further prevent slipping and sliding. Many people that practice hot yoga use this because it is a very sweaty workout. My barre and pilates class have me dripping, so I needed some extra slip and slide prevention… this yoga towel did the trick!

The YogiToes towel has slip-prevention technology, is lightweight, absorbent and drys very quickly! There are silicon dots on the back of the towel that grip to the yoga mat, ensuring that the towel stays in place during your workout. Saucony Freedom ISO 2 Running Shoe


If you know me, running is kinda my thing! I took up running a few years ago when my family rented a beach house and there was no gym…I had to get my workout in somehow! From then on, I never looked back. From years of experience, I have learned that a runner’s best friend is a good pair of sneakers. Luckily, I have a professional running store close to my house, and was able to get fitted (before the pandemic) based on my running style (neutral) and foot in order to find my perfect shoe!

And perfect is definitely what I found. I truly cannot think of one thing that I don’t like about the Freedom Iso 2’s. The knitted material of the shoe makes it super lightweight and airy! It is designed equally for road running (which is solely what I have been doing), and the gym, when it is safe to return. The sole of the shoe has an “EVERUN” technology that provides a great bounce. Not only does this shoe carry me effortlessly through each stride, it also provides exceptional comfort while doing so.

Gaiam Mini Loop Resistance Bands 


Before the pandemic, I never worked with loop bands…and boy, was I missing out! These resistance bands elevate the intensity of your workout tenfold. Not to mention that they leave you sore for days! Barre workouts have become a new passion for me, and slipping these bands over my thighs during my workouts have been a huge game changer for me.

If you love an added challenge to your workout like I do, getting some resistance bands does the trick. I have seen my strength transform because of my consistent work with these resistance bands. There’s a plethora of workouts that you can easily find on YouTube that are designed around the use of loop bands alone. You won’t regret adding this equipment to your fitness collection, and you won’t regret seeing your body transform!

Clean Hygiene|Products I’m Obsessed With!

Recently, I’ve been slowly making the switch to clean, cruelty free, hygiene products in my bathroom! During the pandemic, I’ve had lots of time to think about what I am putting in and on my body, as well as what brands I am supporting.

Common chemicals that are found in household hygiene products such as parabens and phthalates have been known to agitate the hormonal system. Additionally, they are prone to causing health and reproductive issues. Why should we voluntarily be putting these chemicals into our body when we don’t have to anymore?

Many contemporary brands are stepping up and choosing not to fall into the trap of using these harmful chemicals in their products. After doing lots of research and testing out products, I have found a few brands that I am obsessed with! All of these brands are vegan, cruelty free, paraben free and more!


Hello Antiplaque and Whitening Toothpaste in Natural Peppermint $4.99

I didn’t know how badly I needed to switch to a natural toothpaste until I took the plunge! Using Hello Products has completely transformed how I brush my teeth. Each ingredient is listed on the tube with an explanation of what it is doing to your teeth. For example, the Tea Tree Oil cleans and freshens breath! This feature is so cool because it makes the ingredients look less daunting and ensures me that each ingredient is safe and effective.

I have been using whitening toothpastes for years. I can honestly say that I have seen more of a difference in using Hello toothpaste for 2 weeks than I have in years with other leading whitening toothpastes such as Crest and Colgate. This toothpaste has no fluoride, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, dyes, SLS/sulfates, parabens or triclosan! To add, it is vegan, never tested on animals and their toothpaste tubes are bpa free and contain no phthalates! Can it get better than this? There are a wide variety of toothpastes that suit your specific goals, so there is a product for everyone. You have to try this toothpaste out!


Hello Naturally Healthy Mouthwash in Natural Mint $5.99

Here is yet another favorite from Hello AND I am happily here to report that they have changed the mouthwash game for good! Honestly, I have stopped using main-stream mouthwash for a while now because I hate how it burns the crap out of my mouth…not to mention that the freshness never lasts more than 5 minutes. Hello Naturally Healthy Mouthwash has been everything that I’ve always wanted a mouthwash to be.

It doesn’t burn, it keep my breath fresh FOR HOURS and it tastes amazing. To make this even better, this mouthwash contains no alcohol, dyes, artificial sweeteners, flavors or SLS/sulfates and is vegan and cruelty free! You will feel more confident than ever integrating this mouthwash into your routine…thank me later!


Native Coconut & Vanilla Natural Deodorant $12.00

As an avid exerciser, just the sound of a “natural” deodorant used to scare the crap out of me…until I discovered Native products. Staying fresh and smelling the best that I can  during a workout and throughout the day is super important to me! After hearing rave reviews about Native on essentially every Podcast I listen to, I knew I had to give it a whirl. My twin sister and I put the deodorant to the test and we were both shocked by how incredible it was.

Whether I am doing a super tough workout, going for a leisurely walk or lounging around the house, I know that I am protected and staying fresh with Native deodorant! The Coconut & Vanilla scent is heavenly (definitely recommend), but if that isn’t your fav, they have a wide-range of other scents such as Lavender & Rose, Cucumber & Mint and more to choose from! The best part about this deodorant is that it is aluminum (harmful chemical) and paraben free! By using this deodorant you are doing well by your body and staying fresh…a win/win in my book!


Native Vanilla and Coconut Body Wash $8.00

Yet another Native product that I am obsessing over! This body wash smells incredible, foams up beautifully and leaves me feeling so fresh and clean. This body wash is sulfate and paraben free ensuring that you aren’t putting harmful chemicals onto your body. One of my favorite features of this body wash is the ingredient list on the back of the bottle.

The list clearly outlines what ingredients are in the wash along with what the ingredients actually mean. For example, an ingredient listed is “Sodium Chloride” which they tell you means “Table Salt”. This is, again, such a huge comfort to me because I am aware of what I am washing my body with, thanks to Native. Check out their website for a wide range of scents that will transform your shower routine and leaving you feeling so good!


It’s super evident that there is a lot of CRAP in mainstream toothpastes, deodorants and body washes on the market. Thanks to these brands that are health and safety conscious, we now have a variety of products that we can use and not feel like it will harm us in the end. Switching over all of your products can seem daunting and expensive, but if you take it a step at a time, before you know it, you will have transformed your bathroom to be filled with clean and heathy products! Go-To Vegan Snacks

Finding healthy snacks can be surprisingly difficult! Looking for options that are vegan, with few ingredients and have nutritional value definitely requires some work. Luckily for y’all, I’ve been doing some digging (and taste testing!) and found amazing, plant-powered options. All of these snacks will keep you fueled and focused throughout the day. Below, I am rounding up some of my go-to snacks, both salty and sweet, that are great for anytime of the day!

Koia Protein Shakes 

You guys (not to be dramatic or anything) but these shakes have changed my life! At only 190 calories a pop, with 18 grams of protein and just 4-6 grams of sugar these are the perfect, healthy pick-me up. Using a combination of pea, brown rice and hemp protein these shakes will keep you full for a generous amount of time. The formula contains 9 essential amino acids, delivering a complete protein intake for sustainable fuel. My favorite flavor is the cacoa bean…it seriously tastes like a chocolate milkshake! These shakes are perfect for a post-workout mini meal or snack anytime of the day.



ALL of my college friends know that I am crazy about these flavored chickpea puffs! I first discovered these when I was in line at Starbucks and was craving something salty. I saw the word “vegan” on them, picked up a bag to try and was hooked ever since. I am INCREDIBLY thankful that I did because these are my holy-grail salty snack. These puffs are made out of organic chickpea and rice flour, pea hull fiber and seasonings! There are 4 grams of protein per serving, plus they are baked, not fried! My favorite flavor is the vegan white cheddar!


Hummus + Veggies

A classic. What is a vegan without this holy grail snack? Thanks to all new flavors of hummus these days, this snack is far from boring…the flavors and combinations are endless. I am a sucker for the classic hummus with baby carrots, sliced bell peppers or celery stalks. I am super eager to try Trader Joe’s new buffalo flavored hummus with celery. The protein in the hummus thanks to the chickpeas will also keep you feeling satisfied in-between meals.


Avocado + Organic Rice Crackers + Trader Joe’s “Everything But The Bagel” Seasoning 

Avocado is a staple in my diet and I have them stocked at all times in my kitchen. They are packed with healthy fats and keep me super full. One of my favorite go-to snacks is taking half of an avocado, spreading it on a serving size of organic rice crackers and sprinkling Everything but the Bagel seasoning on top! It is delicious and very satisfying. If you would like to for-go the crackers, you can also eat the avocado plain with the seasoning, or substitute the seasoning for a drizzle of olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon on top!


Lara Bars in the Cashew Cookie Flavor 

Finding a clean, sweet snack can be nearly impossible. I am so glad that I came across these bars thanks to a recommendation by Kenzie Burke (Food Combining advocate). There are only 2 ingredients in this bar including dates and cashews. This is sure to satisfy any sugary craving you may be having and keeps me full thanks to the nuts in the bar.

4 Products to Perfect Skin | My Nighttime Skincare Routine


Skincare has always been an integral part of my daily routine. When I was little, I used to sit on my mom’s bathroom counter and watch her go through her extensive nightly ritual of washing, toning, and moisturizing her face. From a young age, I have learned the importance of consistency and maintenance with my skincare.

That being said, finding skincare products that work for me has definitely been a trial and error process. I have spent years testing out an abundance of different products to either, happily find out that they did wonders for my skin, or sadly have broken me out. Thankfully, after such a long period of time trying out different skincare products, I have finally found my tried and true products that I cannot go a day without. Lets get into it!

Step 1: Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel 

I was first introduced to Mario Badescu products a few years ago when the rose water spray took over the beauty industry! After loving the spray, I decided to test out more of his products and I’m so glad that I did. I have pretty sensitive skin and the Enzyme Cleansing Gel has become such a staple in my nighttime routine. The cleanser is so gentle on my skin and has a very clean, fresh scent. I first splash my face with warm water. Next, I apply about a dime sized amount of product onto my hand. I use the tips of my fingers to work the product into my skin. After about 30 seconds, I splash my face a few more times with warm water to get the excess cleanser off of my face. I always pat to dry my face with a fluffy white towel. My mom always told me that rubbing your face with a towel causes wrinkles and we don’t need those y’all!

Step 2: Simple Water Boost Micellar Cleansing Water 

I have used countless micellar waters over the years and none quite measure up to this one! Either they feel sticky or leave a weird residue behind after application. Luckily,  I have found Simple products that keep my skin feeling hydrated and super refreshed! Simple micellar water uses clean ingredients that simultaneously cleanse your face and remove any dirt or impurities that linger on your skin…even after a thorough wash. I apply the micellar water to a cotton pad and in a circular motion make my way around my face, ensuring that I reach all areas of my skin. I am always shocked with how much dirt it removes and always think…if I didn’t cleanse my face with this water, all of that extra dirt would just be sitting there! This product will ensure that you skin is squeaky clean before you apply any moisturizers!

Step 3: Mario Badescu Chamomile Night Cream 

My twin sister Cammie started using this product her freshman year of college and told me to try it out because she was seeing amazing results. Ever since the first application of this heaven-sent cream, I haven’t looked back. This ultra rich, chamomile infused cream will leave your skin soft, supple and super hydrated. You only need to use a small amount to see big results in the appearance of your skin. After some time using this product, your skin seriously looks airbrushed!

Step 4: Bio Oil Skincare Oil 

I have always wanted to use skincare serums and oils, but have been too scared that they would break me out. This past summer, I decided to bite the bullet and just test it out to see if I would see results. I am so glad that I decided to go for it because I truly believe that this product is making the biggest difference in the appearance of my skin. Bio Oil is known for helping to improve the appearance of scars. If you have left-over acne scars on your face that just will not go away or are looking to improve dull looking skin, this is the product for you! I put a pea sized amount of the oil onto my fingers and gently tap the product into my skin. Instantaneously, you will look like a glowing goddess. Overtime, I have seen all of my acne scars disappear and have such a natural glow to my skin. This may be my favorite product in the whole post!

Here you guys have it…the 4 products to perfect skin! In addition to using these products I always make sure to drink plenty of water, exercise and eat clean foods to improve the appearance of my skin. What I Eat in a Day

What I Eat in a Day videos have been taking over YouTube and the truth is, I haven’t been able to stop watching them! I thought it would be a great idea if I brought the trend over here to the Blogging community for y’all!

Health and wellness is my top priority so I tend to eat super clean, whole foods. I’ve been Vegan for over 2.5 years so you guys will be able to see what types of foods I eat on this lifestyle. In addition to being Vegan, I also follow Food Combining. Food Combining in short, is a method of eating that promotes optimal digestion. Certain foods pair better together in the digestive tract which leaves you feeling good after finishing a meal, rather than feeling bloated. In addition, this method of eating leans you out and improves gut health.

For example, starches and vegetables pair well (brown rice and broccoli), while starches and proteins (meat/meat substitutes and potatoes) do not. This is because of the way the digestive tract breaks down these compounds. There are a couple of guidelines to this eating method that I will insert below. After a week or so, these guidelines become so ingrained that you won’t have to think twice about what pairs well together. I found out about Food Combining thanks to YouTuber Maggie Macdonald, who started Instagram Influencer, Kenzie Burke’s Food Combining 21 Day Reset.

Eating this way has completely changed my relationship with food. I have never eaten healthier or more whole…my body feels amazing, my mind feels clear and my skin is glowing! Below, I am going to take you through my everyday eating routine that is Vegan and follows Food Combining!


Hot Lemon Water : I drink a cup of hot water with freshly squeezed lemon every morning before I eat or drink anything else. This helps to coat the stomach, detox your body, and prepare the gut for digestion.

1st Breakfast – Fruit Bowl : In Food Combining it is essential that fruit is eaten on an empty stomach (bananas are the only exception). This is because it does not mix well with other food categories due to its rapid digestive nature. I love cutting up a whole banana, throwing in some cantaloupe and a handful of blueberries!

Let the Fruit Digest for 30 Minutes 

2nd Breakfast – Koia Cacao Bean Protein Shake : These shakes are my lifeline y’all! I wake up everyday craving one…they seriously taste like a chocolate milkshake. They are Vegan, 190 Calories, 18 grams of plant protein, only 4 grams of sugar and the ingredients are so clean. I love having this shake as my second breakfast because I do intense exercise in the morning including running and lifting. It is imperative that I replenish my body with a complete protein that has essential amino acids. This holds me over properly until lunch time.


Avocado Toast + Everything But The Bagel Seasoning : For lunch, I toast up 2 pieces of Sourdough bread until they are extra toasty! Next I use a whole avocado and spread it between the 2 slices of bread. I drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil, sprinkle Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Seasoning and crack some black pepper! It is soooo delish and super satisfying.

Hummus + Veggies : After I finish my avocado toast, I love eating some celery and carrots with Sabra Original Hummus! It gets some extra veggies in for the day and is so yummy.


Lara Bar in the Coconut Cream Pie Flavor : This magical bar is Vegan, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free, Kosher and Non-GMO and only has 5 clean ingredients…a total win! This bar is made up of dates, unsweetened coconut, almonds, cashews and extra virgin coconut oil. I usually snack on this bar right after work while I am prepping to make dinner. Some days I will for-go the snack if I’m not feeling super hungry…it’s so important to listen to your body’s needs and wants.


Brown Rice Veggie Bowl : This has been my current dinner-time obsession! I usually tend to do the starch and veggie Food Combining option for dinner. I start off by sautéing an entire box/bag of baby spinach (it really cooks down) in the frying pan…getting all of those greens in! I season the spinach with pink Himalayan salt, cracked black pepper and garlic powder. After the spinach cooks down, I add half of a carton of mushrooms and season them with the same ingredients. Next I add in a chopped bell pepper (red, yellow or orange). While the mushrooms and peppers are going, I start cooking the brown rice. I typically buy the quick, microwave version to cut-down the time and pop a serving size of rice in the microwave for 7 minutes. Once the mushrooms and peppers are done and the rice is cooked through, I add the rice to the pan and combine everything together. Next I add in some Vegan pesto (my mom makes homemade Vegan pesto from our garden) but there is also a Vegan pesto at Trader Joe’s that I’ve heard great things about. On low heat, I let it sizzle all together and make sure the pesto is combined into the veggies and rice. I put everything in a bowl and top it with sun-dried tomatoes! They totally make the dish. It is seriously amazing and super easy to make! You can also make this in bulk and meal-prep your dinner for the week. A cup of Detox Tea : The Pukka Detox Tea is an awesome tea to cleanse your body at night with after a full day of eating. It tastes great and I personally love having something warm at night to help me fall asleep. I also have been loving the Traditional Medicinals EveryDay Detox Lemon Tea as well.

2 Squares of Vegan Dark Chocolate OR one cup of Chocolate Almond Milk :  I love having something sweet at night. A little bit of dark chocolate or one cup of chocolate almond milk totally cures any sweet tooth that I have without many calories.

Rounding Up My Favorite Summer Scents

I think that we can all agree that “omg, you smell so good!” is seriously the best compliment ever…and a major confidence booster! In light of that, I am always on the hunt for new perfumes and body mists that have a long lasting scent. In the summer, I gravitate towards something that is light and sweet. After many years of doing test trials with perfumes, mists and sprays, I have found my holy-grail scents that I cannot live without! Below I am going to be rounding up some of my favorites in order of least to most expensive.


Love and Sunshine Fine Fragrance Mist $14.00

At just $14.00 for an 8 fl oz mist, this is a deal that you simply cannot pass up! This sweet scent combines a blend of strawberries, lemon, honeysuckle and daisies that will leave you feeling super fresh after just a few sprays. It’s not overpowering in the slightest and the scent stays on your skin. I always pack a travel-sized bottle in my purse to spray on whenever I need to freshen up.


Gourmand EDP Pistachio Brûlée Fragrance $18.00

My twin sister is an avid Urban Outfitters shopper and loves to look around the beauty section of the store. A couple of years back we were testing out perfumes and came across this pistachio brûlée scent that I totally fell in love with! The perfume has notes of vanilla mouse, pistachio and vanilla bean resulting in the perfect combination of light and sweet. I love using this fragrance during the day when I go out for coffee or brunch and get compliments on it almost every time I wear it out.


Gourmand Hair + Body Mist Sel Ocean Fragrance $24.00

Another Urban Outfitters favorite! The Sel Ocean scent is the epitome of summertime. The fragrance is a blend of honeysuckle, muguet and pink sea salt. This is my boyfriend’s favorite perfume and I always wear it when we go on dates and out to dinner. It is sophisticated yet fun and the scent last all night long. I even turned my roommate Emily onto it…it has become one of her new staples as well! This fragrance is my holy-grail scent that I can spritz on and I know it will be appropriate for all occasions.


Chloé Eau de Perfume $75.00-$132.00 

As I’ve been getting older, I have found that investing in a high-end, quality fragrance is essential. I am head over heels for the Chloé Eau de Perfume because of the fresh, light and powder-like floral scent it has. It is by far my most mature perfume that I own, but because it is light, it is still appropriate for a young 20 year old woman to wear! I wear this scent when I go out for fancy dinners, on job interviews, or for formal sorority events. Because it is on the pricier side, I like to save it for special occasions only! A trick for preserving the original scent of the perfume is to keep it in the box that it came in and store it in a cool, dark area!

Fitness Favorites!

2019 is here! What better way to embrace the new year than with some great workout gear!? There’s no denying the fact that with a new year, comes new goals and resolutions…a ton of them involving health and fitness. I’ve never necessarily been one to set a resolution; if I want to do something or work on something, I’ll get started on it right away. Coincidentally, last January, I went out for coffee on a Friday afternoon with my friend Carmen. Somehow, fitness and exercise came up in conversation and she mentioned the fact that she works out 6 days a week! In my mind I was like…whoa, that’s a lot of exercise! I thought to myself, if Carmen can work out that much, so can I. After our conversation, Carmen asked me to join her for a workout and the rest was history! I made a commitment to myself that I would get healthy and exercise. They say the best things in life come when you are least expecting it, and this unintentional New Years resolution was surely it for me! Here I am, a year later, continually working out every single day. Transforming my body has allowed me to feel confident in myself for the first time in my life. Through exercise, I have been able to strengthen my mind, body and spirit. The greatest reward however, has been growing my relationship with God through exercise and treating my body with the respect it deserves! Below I am going to be highlighting all of my fitness favorites to help you continue/start on a path that honors your body!

Headphones: Jaybird X3 Wireless Headphones


When I first started my fitness journey I couldn’t seem to find headphones that allowed me to thoroughly enjoy my workout. My Apple EarPods would slip out as soon as I worked up a sweat and my Beats Solo3 headphones were too bulky for my runs. I researched a ton about the best wireless headphones that were sweat/water resistant so I didn’t have to worry about them slipping out, were ultra lightweight and had a lasting battery life. I finally decided on getting Jaybirds and to date, they were one of my best purchases I have ever made! The headphones connect to your phone through bluetooth and there is an app that allows you to see the exact battery percentage of the headphones. In addition to that, you can customize the sound of your headphones depending on your workout and there are even playlists to choose from! As a runner, the battery lasts me through a couple 9 mile runs without a charge in between which is awesome! It also warns you when it is about to die which is a huge perk.

Running Sneakers: Brooks Ghost 11


This summer I took up running and it was seriously love at first stride. When my family rented a beach house, I initially freaked out because I wasn’t sure how I was going to get my cardio in. I knew that my only option on the Island was to run, so the very first morning I laced up my sneakers and hit the pavement. I was shocked how free it made me feel. Every step further felt amazing and when I looked behind me to see how far I had gotten, I was shocked. My very first run was 3.5 miles and the natural high that I got afterwards was truly unmatched. After a week of running, I didn’t want to give it up just because I left the Island. I continued/continue to run a local trail at home and have worked up to running between 9-9.5 miles! I invested in good running sneakers and my Brooks feel light as air. They are comfortable, cushioning, and even have a spring-like ball embedded in the shoe to allow for an extra boost with every stride you make, resulting in a better and longer run. I love how this company is dedicated to creating running shoes alone, showing that they truly care and craft their shoes special for runners. I seriously can’t recommend this shoe enough!

Running Socks: Feetures High Performance Running Socks


If you’re a runner, you know that blisters are inevitable. A lot of times, we are quick to jump to the conclusion that we are getting blisters because of our sneakers but that is not necessarily the case. For me, it was because of the socks I was wearing. Feetures socks have completely changed the game. They mold to my foot helping to prevent blisters, provide proper cushioning and breathability, and are moisture resistant thanks the wick fibers. They even have a seamless toe to prevent irritation. At only $12 a pair, you will definitely want to stock up on these!

Cardio Sneakers: Nike Gym and Training Shoes


On days when I’m not out running on the trail, I am in the gym on cardio machines! It is imperative to have the proper sneakers when switching to different style of workouts to ensure that you don’t hurt yourself or strain a muscle. I’m a huge fan of the elliptical, and I found the perfect Cardio sneakers that give me a boost during my workout! The Nike gym and training shoes are lightweight, sleek, comfortable and great for intense cardio workouts both indoor and outdoor, making these very versatile sneakers!

Workout Wear: Old Navy Active


I may or may not have a slight obsession with Old Navy Activewear! The students working at my college mailroom are even starting to notice…opps!? The quality of their clothing is insane considering how affordable it is. My favorite leggings are the 7/8 high waisted compression leggings! They are incredibly flattering, suck you in and hug all the right places. They make me feel so confident before, during and after my workout. I have them in so many different colors and patterns and am slowly building up my collection. In addition to the leggings, I love their medium support sport bras. They are great for my cardio workouts and my runs. I love how they match the colors and patterns of the leggings so that I always have great workout sets. Their tanks are awesome and have the same moisture wicking fiber as in the leggings. Old Navy refers to this as the “Go Dry” technology so you don’t have to worry about sweating through your clothes during your workout. I also have a bunch of athletic jackets that I pop over my sports bras/tanks after my workout to keep me warm during the cold months. I seriously peek at their website AT LEAST 3 times a week to see the new merchandise. You have to go check it out!

Young and in Love in NYC // Central Park

After a crazy month of final exams, present prep and saying goodbye to friends at college, I’m finally home for the holidays! I’m beyond excited to spend quality time with my family over the next couple of weeks…I’ve missed them so much! A few days ago, my boyfriend Mike and I headed into the Big Apple to explore all things Christmas! Growing up, I’ve always had this dream of exploring Central Park with someone I love. Going there with Mike was seriously a dream come true for me!

We started our day by boarding the crowded train in New Jersey. After only an hour’s time, we made it to New York City! Our first stop was Times Square which was flooded with tourists from all over the world basking in the holiday spirit. We stopped at Starbucks for a little “pick me up” to prep us for a day full of lots of walking.

As we made our way uptown, we finally reached Central Park. I was giddy with joy to have Mike by my side in one of my favorite places in the whole world! Hand in hand, we made our way around the Park, laughing, joking and taking lots of photos!

The Christmas Vendor’s were set up in the Park and we decided to stop and take a look. Mike bought me my perfect white pom hat that I’ve been on the hunt for…I’m seriously obsessed with it and put it on right away! As far as my outfit goes, I went for a more casual look and decided to make a statement in my new cherry red puffer jacket! I wore my favorite black Quay aviators which are my go-to sunglasses no matter the occasion. I find that they always help to polish any look I’m going for. Like I mentioned before, I popped on my white pom hat to add the perfect winter touch to the look! Whenever I’m in the city, I also find that carrying a cross-body purse is the best idea; this way, I can keep a close eye on my belongings. I wore my favorite black Michael Kors bag with gold detailing that is seriously the perfect size!

The whole day was so magical and truly unforgettable. There’s something about the Christmas spirit in the air in New York City. I’m so happy that I got to experience the joy of the holidays with him!
